During the entire month of January, conductor Frank Adams and his string orchestra Kamerata Zuid, accompanied by soloists Nino Zannoni (voice) and Santiago Cimadevilla (bandoneon) toured through Argentina and the Netherlands, giving multiple performances of Xavier’s new composition Chamamé Sinfónico. This composition, which attempts to combine the northern Argentinian traditional style of chamamé with Western classical music and includes fragments of three traditional chamamé (A Salvador Sena, La Calandria and El Toro), was specially written for their tour and features Adams, Cimadevilla and Kamerata Zuid.

The recording, filmed at the 33rd Fiesta Nacional del Chamamé at the Anfiteatro Cocomarola located in the city of Corrientes, can be enjoyed on YouTube with an introduction by Zannoni.
